Are you on a webhost using \u201cPlesk<\/strong>\u201d as a control panel? If you are one of those folks using Plesk-based web hosts and are confused about how to install your WordPress PLR blog, here\u2019s a quick guide for you.<\/p>\n

Plesk<\/strong> is one of the most common branded and user-friendly control panels you\u2019ll come across when shopping for a new web host. It is an advanced hosting control panel that provides a wide array of tools you may need to manage any Linux or Windows hosting infrastructure efficiently.<\/p>\n

Examples of web hosting companies offering Plesk web hosting are KnownHost, HostGator, A2 Hosting, 1and1, LiquidWeb, and Media Temple just to name a few.<\/p>\n

Part 1. Upload Installation Files<\/h2>\n

1<\/span> Unzip the blog package you downloaded from Race4Treasure.com. Do not upload the whole shebang. You need to unzip it first on your computer.<\/p>\n

2<\/span> Locate and open the folder called \u201cFiles To Upload<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n

This is where you\u2019ll find the actual \u201cinstallation files<\/strong>\u201d which are the index.php, importbuddy.php, and the \u201cbackup file<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re going to upload all 3 files. DO NOT <\/strong>unzip the backup file.<\/p>\n

3<\/span> Login to your Plesk Control Panel. If you are familiar with WordPress you may notice that the Plesk dashboard has similar look.<\/p>\n

4<\/span> On your Plesk dashboard, click the domain where you are going to install the PLR blog. The list of domains you have in your account is found inside the \u201cMy Subscriptions<\/strong>\u201d box.<\/p>\n

You will be redirected to a page where you\u2019ll see various tools for managing that particular domain. We\u2019ll just call this your \u201cdomain\u2019s management page\u201c<\/em> for reference later in this tutorial.<\/p>\n

5<\/span> Find the \u201cFile Manager<\/strong>\u201d icon and click on it.<\/p>\n

6<\/span> On the file manager page, click the \u201cUpload<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n

7<\/span> Locate the installation files from your PC\/Laptop\/Computer.<\/p>\n

8<\/span> To upload, highlight the three files then click \u201cOpen<\/strong>\u201d (Chrome browser).<\/p>\n

9<\/span> A window will pop-up showing you the upload progress. Wait for files to get uploaded.<\/p>\n

Part 2. Create a MySQL Database<\/h2>\n

1<\/span> Go back to your \u201cdomain\u2019s management page<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

2<\/span> Click on the \u201cDatabases<\/strong>\u201d tab.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, you may also click on the \u201cDatabases<\/strong>\u201d link.<\/p>\n

3<\/span> Click the \u201cAdd Database<\/strong>\u201d button\/link.<\/p>\n

You will be redirected to the \u201cAdd Database<\/strong>\u201d page.<\/p>\n

4<\/span> Now, enter your desired Database name<\/strong>, Database user name<\/strong>, and generate a new password. See the screenshot below.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t forget to write down your database info on a notepad for easy copy-pasting on the installation steps later.<\/p>\n

5<\/span> When you\u2019re done filling up the database, click the \u201cOK<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n

If successful, you will be redirected to a page showing the database record for that domain.<\/p>\n

Part 3. Run Installation Script<\/h2>\n

1<\/span> Bring up the install notes you created during the MySQL creation.<\/p>\n

2<\/span> On your favorite browser (Chrome preferably), copy the installation URL to the address bar then hit the \u201cEnter<\/strong>\u201d key on your computer keyboard.<\/p>\n

3<\/span> Enter Importbuddy password then click Authenticate<\/strong><\/p>\n

4<\/span> Click the \u201cRestore Backup<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n

5<\/span> On \u201cStep 3: Database Settings<\/strong>\u201c, enter your database settings. Copy and paste from the install notes you prepared.<\/p>\n

6<\/span> Click the \u201cNext Step<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n

8<\/span> On \u201cStep 6: Verify Site and Finish<\/strong>\u201c, click your blog URL and check if the site is working.<\/p>\n

9<\/span> If the site is working with no error\/s, click \u201cFinish Cleanup<\/strong>\u201d to delete installation files and other mess.<\/p>\n
